"Taani wake up now it's already 10 in the morning." Said her father, gently patting her head to wake her up. 'Coming back home sure feels like a blessing.' She thought as she opened her eyes to the sight of her father smiling down at her.
"I missed you dad." She said sighing in content and holding on to his hand tightly. These were the moments she missed the most in Indore. Her dad treats her like his princess and she loves every second of it.
"I missed you more, mera bachcha." Dad said with tears in his eyes. He sure missed waking her up. "Teri baatein, teri hasi, tere nakhre, sab kuch miss kiya humne." (𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒆, 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒔, 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.)
"Aww papa, don't make me cry now." She said getting teary eyed as well. "Aur mai konse nakhre dikhati hu?" (𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒔 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒘?)
"Mumma mujhe ye nahi khana, papa mujhe movie dekhne jana hai, Amma bhaiya ko bolo na mere liye ye manga dein, chachi please mere liye chai bana do, aap sabse achchi chai banate ho! Haan tu kahan hi nakhre dikhati hai." (𝑴𝒐𝒎 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔, 𝒅𝒂𝒅 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒂 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆, 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒚 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔, 𝑨𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒚 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒂 𝒄𝒖𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒆𝒂, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒂 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓! 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒉 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍.) Her father laughed at her pout.
"Haan haan samajh gaye. Ab taane maarne ki zarurat nahi hai." (𝑨𝒍𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒆, 𝑰 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒅. 𝑵𝒐 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘.) Taani said finally getting up.
"Tumhe kabhi koi taane nahi maarega meri bachchi, aur kisi ne diye na to fir unhe to mai dekhta hu." (𝑵𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒎𝒚 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚'𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉.) Ranveer said and meant it too, he was fiercely protective of his daughter, no one harms her ever.
"Aap chalo hum taiyaar hoke aate hain thodi der mein." (𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚.) She said as she entered the bathroom, with a smile. She loved her family with her whole heart but she had a very special place for her father. He's everything for her and she would do anything he'd ask of her. She has already decided that she'll marry a person who can treat her just like this or no one at all.
She took a much needed and relaxing shower before surfing through her cupboard in search of an outfit. She finally settled on a white colored crop top and light blue jeans which were ripped at the knees.
She went downstairs already knowing that her grandma is going to comment on her jeans as soon as she looks at her.
"Ye kya fati hui jeans pehen li hai tumne?" (𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒋𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔?) Said her grandma as she came downstairs to have breakfast.
"Fati hui nahi Amma, ise 'ripped jeans' kehte hain." (𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 '𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒋𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔' 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂.) Taani replied taking a seat.
"Ek hi matlab hai dono ka." (𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.) Her brother commented as he sat down beside her and she turned towards him with a furious glare.
"Just shut up." She said as she nudged him with her elbows, and he pulled at her hair in return.
"Oww, bhaiya!" She shouted and slapped him on his upper arm, Avi instantly took hold of her arm and twisted it, making her yelp in pain. "Amma! Dekho na bhaiya kese mera haath mod rahe hain." (𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂! 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔.)
"Avi haath chhoro uska!" (𝑨𝒗𝒊, 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔!) Sumitra shouted at him, and he instantly let go of her hand, and gave her a shove one last time.
"Amma ki laadli. Khud mai to koi dam hai nahi, bas Amma Amma karti rahegi pure din." (𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂'𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑫𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏, 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂'𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈.) Avi muttered under his breath so that his grandma doesn't hear it. Taani just stuck her tongue out at him.
All the other family members shook their head at them. 'Ye dono kabhi bade nahi hone wale.' (𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒖𝒑.) thought Siya.
"Kabhi kabhi lagta hai mai do do bachcho ko paal rahi hu." (𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑰'𝒎 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒌𝒊𝒅𝒔.) Dhriti said, as she bumped Kiki on her knees trying to get her to finish her cereal.
"Don't forget I gave you that child!" Avi muttered making Dhriti gasp in mortification. "Avi shut up!" She said slapping him on his forearm.
"Ab teri shaadi ki umar ho rahi hai beta, ese kapde achche thodi na lagte hain ab." (𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖.) Grandma said, making her choke on orange juice and she started coughing violently. Her dad came up behind her and patted on her back to calm her down.
Marriage isn't something she had even considered yet. Yes, she will do it someday but definitely not now or anytime soon!
"Kaisi shaadi? Kiski shaadi?" (𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒈𝒆? 𝑾𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒈𝒆?) Was her first question as she regained her breath.
"Teri shaadi aur kiski? Tum to ese kar rahi ho jese tumhari kabhi shaadi hi nahi hogi." (𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆'𝒔? 𝒀𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅.) Sumitra said. She had yet to hear from Meenal about Yuvi's answer but she thought it doesn't hurt to approach the topic with Taani also, and see where she stands regarding marriage.
"Amma itni bhi kya jaldi hai hum abhi 24 ki hi to hain." (𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒚? 𝑰'𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 24 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘.) Taani had finally calmed down.
"Haan aur meri shaadi 16 saal mai hi ho gayi thi." (𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 16)
"Haan to aapko apni mummy se bolna chahiye tha, hume kuch nahi pata hum abhi koi shaadi nahi kar rahe hain." (𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒉 𝒔𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅'𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕. 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑰'𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘.) Taani stubbornly stuck to her decision.
Siya and Ranveer shared a worried look as they were not ready to marry their daughter right now either. "Taani theek hi to keh rahi hai maa, itni bhi kya jaldi hai shaadi ki, aakhir abhi to uski padhai puri hui hai, ab wo kuch din humare saath bhi to rahe." (𝑻𝒂𝒂𝒏𝒊 𝒊𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒚? 𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘.) Ranveer said patting Taani's hand affectionately.
Taani took a breath of relief knowing her dad was on her side regarding this. Sumitra didn't bother saying anything else as she knew it would upset Taani and Yuvi had yet to reply anyways so there was no hurry right now.
Soon everybody sat down and they began their breakfast.
"Aaj ka koi plan?" (𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚?) Ranveer asked her while sipping on his tea.
"Abhi breakfast ke baad mai Sid se milne jaungi uske baad ka pata nahi." (𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒊𝒅 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕, 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕.) (Siddharth Mehra, her best friend)
"That good for nothing, stupid friend of yours, who doesn't know anything other than ogling at girls." Avi said making her laugh.
"He doesn't ogle, he just likes to admire them that's it." Taani said jokingly, knowing her brother was spot on about Sid. He really lived up to his playboy reputation.
"Usse kehna ghar aaye kabhi, jabse tum gayi ho ek baar bhi ghar nahi aya hai." (𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆. 𝑯𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕.) Grandma said and taani just nodded her head in return. Grandma loved Sid like her own kid, since Taani and him had been friends for so long. And she loved his easygoing nature.
Taani hurriedly gulped her orange juice and didn't eat much as she was meeting Sid for breakfast as well, before getting up from her chair. "Achcha mai chalti hu, bye." (𝑶𝒌𝒂𝒚 𝑰'𝒎 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒃𝒚𝒆.)
"Dhyan rakhna apna!" (𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇!) Her brother said as she practically ran out of there.
She was excited to meet Sid, however much he ogles and flirts with girls, she knew he really was a goof who did anything to make her laugh. She was glad to have him as her best friend. He was even ready to go to Indore with her but she refused saying that she wouldn't have time to spend with him anyways. But in all honesty she missed him a lot and was almost regretting not letting him come with her.
She reached the cafe and saw that Sid wasn't there yet, so she took a seat somewhere in the middle and sent him a text to hurry or else she would go home. Of course they both knew she was just kidding.
In the same cafe, Yuvi was sitting with Rishi and his best friend Karan Ahuja. They were casually talking when Rishi nudged him and gestured towards the entrance where a girl stood, looking around the cafe. After looking at her picture for more than an hour Yuvi already knew her face well enough to know that she was indeed Tanisha Mittal who his grandma was trying to set him up with. 'She is even more breathtaking in reality, that photo didn't do any justice to her beauty, in fact I don't think any camera could capture her beauty.' Yuvi thought as he looked at her.
He noticed that a lot of other people turned to gaze at her as well, which didn't sit well with him. But Tanisha didn't even spare a single glance at them, nor was she aware of their attention on her. When she didn't find the person she was looking for, she took a seat in the middle, near their table and started texting someone. "Isn't that Tanisha?" Rishi asked. Yuvi only nodded.
"Woah! She's a real beauty, who is she?" Karan asked, not knowing that his question made Yuvi angry. He didn't want him to know anything about her but he knew he would be being irrational and let Rishi tell him all about her, which actually wasn't much at all
"She is Tanisha Mittal. Whom our dear grandma wants Yuvi to get married to." Rishi said, enjoying the irritation on his brother's face.
"Don't tell me you said no!" Karan said widening his eyes comically at Yuvi.
"I haven't thought about it yet." Yuvi replied, not bothering to disclose any of his thoughts about her.
"Wow, from a straight 'no, I won't' to 'I haven't thought about it yet', improvement bro, I like it." Rishi said grinning goofily at him. Yuvi narrowed his eyes at him before muttering a quick shut up. He turned to look at her once again when he saw the cafe door opening and in came a man wearing sunglasses, his hair slightly dishevelled.
He walked right up to her opening his arms gesturing for a hug and she literally jumped in his arms. Her shriek of happiness could be heard in the entire cafe but she seemed unbothered about it. Their interaction made Yuvi feel something he didn't want to acknowledge.
"I missed you Sid." Taani said as she released him from her hold and moved slightly away to get a good look at him. He was still the same goof with a large grin, dishevelled hair and dressed to impress. Of course the girls sitting ahead of them were turning around to stare at him.
'Even her voice sounds so melodious.' Yuvi thought.
"Not more than how much I missed you cutie pie." Sid replied ruffling her hair. She scrunched her nose cutely before swatting his hand away.
"How lame" Yuvi muttered looking disinterested in their conversation but in reality he was getting a bit jealous of it. Rishi shared a look with Karan and smiled devilishly.
Taani then took a seat and Sid moved to sit in the chair opposite her. He tried to pull the chair out but it didn't budge. They all furrowed their eye brows at his actions thinking how could he not move the chair?
"It seems to be stuck, would you mind coming here to take a look, cutie pie?" Sid said looking at her with a smile. Taani tilted her head slightly and looked up at him, then looked at the chair before rolling her eyes at him.
"That's like the oldest trick in history, I'm not coming over there to pull the chair out for you princess, just sit the fuck down!" Taani replied rolling her eyes at his antics. "Chivalry is seriously dead!" She muttered
All around them people started laughing at her reply including Rishi and Karan while Yuvi raised his eyebrows at her in surprise. 'So little Miss Mittal swears as well... Interesting.' he thought.
Sid laughed along with everyone else, taking the joke in stride and pulled out the chair to take a seat. He removed his sunglasses and picked up the menu and passed one to Taani.
"Oh now I recognise him, he's Siddharth Mehra, only heir of Mehra enterprises. I have crossed paths with him once or twice in a few parties. Dude is a total playboy and lives up to his reputation as well but he's pretty fun to be around." Karan said, recognising Sid instantly as he got a good look at him.
Yuvi narrowed his eyes at Sid and observed how they both looked at ease around each other and he didn't like it at all. They seemed to be arguing about what to order after finally deciding on something. Earlier he was hoping for him to be her boyfriend so he didn't have to be the one to reject the marriage proposal but if what Karan said is true then he will make sure that Tanisha knows about it as well.
Half an hour went and they both were still chatting continuously, their talks were never ending. They looked like they met after ages and had so much to tell each other. Yuvi thought about how it'd feel to talk to her that much, to share his thoughts with her and to listen to her talk while gesturing with her hands animatedly. He loved that thought a bit too much for his comfort. He loved how her eyes would sparkle when she was talking about something she loved.
"Come on, introduce your friend to us Karan." Yuvi said getting up and making his way towards Taani's table. Rishi and Karan hurried after him as well.
Taani felt someone standing beside her and looked up. Her eyes collided with the most handsome person she had ever seen. Although he looked like he wasn't really happy to be there. 'Mr. Grumpy' She named him in her mind. She couldn't seem to look anywhere else until someone cleared their throat.
"Hey Sid, I'm Karan, remember me?" The person standing slightly away from grumpy said.
Sid instantly stood up and gave him a manly hug. "Of course Ahuja, how could I ever forget you? Last party was a blast dude! We need to meet up again." Taani rolled her eyes at Sid. Of course he met him at a party, that's all he was ever interested in.
"These are my best friends, Yuvraj Singhania and his younger brother Rishiraj Singhania." Yuvi noticed how Taani's eyes sparkled in recognition.
"Nice to meet you guys." Sid said, shaking their hands as well. "This is a close friend of mine, Tanisha Mittal." Taani just nodded her head with a smile in greeting but Karan moved forward taking her hand in his and kissed her on it.
Taani blushed at his forwardness but mumbled a quiet 'it's nice to meet you.' Yuvraj glared at him, best friend or not, he felt like strangling his throat right then and there.
"Pleasure is all mine to meet such a pretty lady like you." Karan said in a flirtatious tone and with a charming smile.
"Lay off a bit dude." Sid said, promptly moving Taani's hand away from his in a protective gesture, which didn't go unnoticed by either of the men.
"May we join you guys?" Rishi asked in a polite manner.
Taani hesitated a bit before nodding her head. Sid moved to sit beside her while they moved to sit across from them. Rishi ended up sitting in between with Taani to his right and Yuvi to his left (in front of Taani). After getting comfortable they all ordered one more cup of coffee.
"I think I met your family yesterday, you both are Aadesh uncle's sons right?" Rishi nodded his head in agreement.
"I didn't know they were going to meet you guys or else I'd have accompanied them myself." Rishi said. Taani just gave a polite smile in return. "So what did you'll talk about?"
"Nothing much, he told me Yuvraj here is heading the company right now while you're learning and working under him." Taani said recalling whatever Aadesh had told her the previous day. Yuvraj looked up as his name was mentioned, loving the way it sounded on her tongue.
"Yeah I'm still getting the hang of it." Rishi replied nodding his head while sipping his coffee.
"He even proposed for me to join the company as well."
"Oh that would be wonderful, you should totally do it, I think it'll be fun to have you around and just so you know I'm an awesome company to be around." Rishi said giving her his charming grin. Taani grinned back at him, already feeling at ease around him.
"What do you do right now?" Yuvi asked all of a sudden, startling her a bit. 'oh my god, even his voice is as sexy as his looks.' she thought.
"I just finished MBA, I'm still waiting to get the degree though." Taani replied and Yuvi nodded at her, happy at fact that he had all her attention on him now.
"Planning on working?" He further enquired.
"Not right now, maybe sometime in the future." She replied. 'Knew she didn't want to work and sit at home all her life.' Yuvi thought with bitterness.
"Of course why would daddy's little princess want to work?" He commented sarcastically. At his comment all other conversation came to a halt. Rishi even gave him a look of disappointed. Sid somewhat felt the need to protect Taani but he knew she could handle it and wouldn't like him replying on her behalf.
Taani seemed unbothered as she picked up her cup of coffee before replying. "That was simply rude and uncalled for."
'If only a pretty face guaranteed an equally pretty personality as well. What a waste.' She thought in her mind. After that she didn't bother talking to him again, irritated by his comment and aloofness. Yuvi felt a little guilty after saying that and didn't like how she stopped talking to him after that but now the deed was done and he could do nothing about it.
They continued their conversation afterwards. Yuvi observed her and noticed that she didn't mention the marriage proposal even once, so maybe her family members hadn't told her anything about it yet, because she didn't even recognise him when he walked up to her.
It was a fun conversation but he was still convinced that Taani was a spoilt rich kid who will only be dependent on her husband after marriage as she didn't have any plans of working right now.
"So the Malhotra twins are throwing a birthday party, you coming?" Karan asked Sid but before he could reply Taani chimed in saying "Of course he will. Will he ever let go of the chance of drinking and flirting with girls? Never!"
"Aww Taani partner, you know I only ever have my eyes for you." Sid said teasingly pinching her cheeks, she swatted his hands away once again.
"I'm warning you Sid, don't touch my cheeks again! And please spare me from flirting as well, or I might just vomit right here. I don't even know how girls find you attractive." Taani replied making everyone laugh.
"Don't hurt my feelings like that, I'm your future husband!" Sid said making Yuvi narrow his eyes dangerously at him. Rishi's eyes widened at the look his brother was giving Sid.
"You guys are getting married?" Rishi asked, trying to seem like he was not prying at all. Taani started laughing uncontrollably, clutching her stomach. Yuvi was mesmerized by her laugh and the way her eyes were tearing up by laughing so much.
"He wishes!" She finally said, regaining her breath.
"I'm hurt Taani partner" Sid said with a mocking pout. Although he seemed to joke about it, he had a melancholic smile on his face which ensured Yuvi that Sid indeed had feelings for Taani. Taani, unaware of the situation, just rolled her eyes at his antics saying "You'll survive."
Yuvi unconsciously took a breath of relief when the matter was finally cleared. Although he hadn't decided on anything yet, he still didn't like the fact that Sid was so close to her.
"Okay I'm heading back home now, I'll see you later." She said giving Sid a tight hug, much to Yuvi's dismay. "And it was really nice meeting you all as well...two of you at least." Yuvi narrowed his eyes at her comment while Karan and Rishi just chuckled.
She turned to Sid one last time to say "Oh Amma milne bula rahi hain tumko, keh rahin thi ki tum aaye nahi ho jabse hum gaye hain." (𝑶𝒉 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕. 𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕.)
"Mai aata hu ghar." (𝑰'𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆.) He replied hugging her one last time before dropping her near her car to see her off.
